In January 2008, Lois was selected as Valley View Estates’ 2007 Employee of the Year by her co-workers. Lois is a very caring person and strives to help make each day more pleasant for each person she meets.

Lois came to the Bitterroot Valley in 1981 from Oregon as part of the Mountain Bell team to upgrade the valley’s phone system from eight party lines. She has two “great” sons and five “wonderful grandchildren.”

While very shy and quiet, Lois is a very talented lady who enjoys several hobbies including gardening, quilting, glass blowing, and home remodeling; all while entertaining what she refers to as a “wild cat.” She has made several quilts which are enjoyed by many, including a unique one of horses hanging in our West hallway. Lois makes beautiful glass beads that are used in jewelry making as well as ornaments.
